“India has always been a hand-painted landscape,” explained the late Hanif Kureshi when speaking at an INKTalks session, “signboards have always been a strong identifier of our streets.” This has been the core of his practice, documenting, celebrating, and adding to the vibrant visual language of India’s urban landscape.
